Kgabo Moabelo
Kgabo is a seasoned executive with 35 years experience in different sectors including energy, financial services, information technology and mining.
He has also served on several boards of companies. He has an MSc in Engineering Business Management, and two degrees in Industrial Psychology. He is also the former Managing Executive of Goldfields SA.
Fred Arendse
Fred is a mining entrepreneur and founder of the SSC Group. The SSC Group is a global, diversified, operating, minerals and investment group.
He has nearly three decades of experience as a pioneer in mining. Serving on numerous Boards, Fred is a member of the Black Business Council of South Africa, the Progressive Professional forum, and the founding Chairman of the Foundation for Peace and Prosperity (NPO) and the founding President of the Junior Mining Council (NPC).
Fred is an innovative and enterprising trailblazer. He holds a degree in Business Management and Human Resources and is visionary capitalist with a profound social conscious.
Martin Schermers
Martin has 3 decades of experience across various fields and has a sterling financial background. He has experience and an understanding of all aspects of governance, internal controls, annual financial statements, financial accounts, financial reporting, IFRS, compliance and risk.
He worked for the largest mining contract company as well as managed the South African operations for a Canadian gold mining group. He has served on JSE listed boards and still serves as a director of several companies. Martin holds a B. Compt degree and is an AGA(SA).
Iesrafeel Jakoet CA(SA)
Iesrafeel has held several financial positions since 2007, gaining experience in financial and IT audits, statutory and legal requirements, B-BBEE, financial reporting and performance improvement consulting.
He holds a Master’s in Development Finance from the Stellenbosch Business School.
Iesrafeel is is highly qualified and skilled finance and business specialist with a rounded and varied skill set. At a strategic level he has performed company valuations, mergers and acquisitions and negotiated on behalf of various Boards of Directors.
Lisa-Lou Arendse
Lisa-Lou Arendse is an accomplished woman who has built her career following the spirit of ‘ubuntu’. She is on track in taking the lead in the sphere of Humanitarian Entrepreneurial Endeavours in a variety of industries such as: the Automotive sector, Mining, Legal, as well as Education and Training services.
Her work’s purpose is to generate value, growth and sustainability for businesses, its stakeholders, and relevant communities. As a Director of the Board at SSC Group, she is responsible for the Group’s communication and corporate affairs. Lisa-Lou also holds the position as COO of the Junior Mining Council.
Receiving her BA in International Relations, Sociology, and Business from Monash Australia, and pursuing her postgraduate for her LLB, Lisa-Lou’s determination in education and practice in the working environment binds two powerful elements that make her a unique visionary in versatility for positive and valuable impact.
Kyle Woodward
Kyle Woodward is a Senior Chemist at SSC Chemicals with extensive expertise in mining industrial chemicals and automotive chemical solutions. His passion for innovative formulations and dedication to environmental stewardship drive the development of cutting-edge, sustainable chemical solutions for the mining and industrial sectors.
With skills in advanced formulation, chemical synthesis, and process optimization, Kyle plays a key role in enhancing product performance and fostering business growth. He has successfully developed and commercialized specialized chemical formulations, continually improving processes to ensure high-quality outcomes
Dr. Godknows Mudimu
Dr. Godknows has a PhD in Mining and Labour Law, an LLM in Human Rights, a BSocSc, and an LLB. He worked in different legal roles across several jurisdictions including Côte d'Ivoire, Namibia Seychelles, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
He possesses expertise in crafting sustainable development solutions for both mining companies & communities affected by mining operations. His other interests are in occupational health and safety, community development & equitable sharing of mineral resources. He is a registered member of SAIOSH and a research associate of MLiA and is a expert in Environmental and Social Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility
Precious Chabane
Precious joined the mining industry as a Loco operator and was later promoted to Loco Team Supervisor. In 2009, Precious was appointed as a Communications Assistant and subsequently enrolled in a Safety Management course at Oxbridge Academy.
After completing the course, Precious was promoted to Safety Administrator and later appointed as a Safety Officer. Currently, Precious is the Managing Director of SN Mining and takes great pride in the decision to spread her wings. Precious is currently studying for a Bachelor of Applied Social Science, majoring in Psychology and Counselling.
Melody Dreyer
Melody has over 20 years of financial work experience in the financial services, freight, financial operations management, construction and explosives industries backed with a B.Compt degree.
She brings a wealth of financial knowledge, skills and expertise to the mining sector and is efficient in offering strategic solutions to complex business challenges and issues. Her extensive experience is substantiated by multiple financial qualifications which she has successfully achieved over the years.
Andre Dreyer
Andre has over 20 years of mining experience. He holds an Explosives Engineer's Certificate of Competency, a Civil and Opencast Blasting Certificate, various Mining Machinery Operating Qualifications and is currently completing his Diploma in Mining Engineering.
Martin Beukes
Martin has over 36 years of mining and safety experience. He holds a S.A Mine Overseers Certificate Of Competency. S.A Blasting Certificate S.A Banksman / Onsetter Certificate and has various health and safety qualifications such as NEBOSH, NOSA SAMTRAC Safety Officers Certificate, Auditors Certificate OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 & 9001 Implementation Certificate, Advance OHS Act Certificate, IRCA Risk Assessment Certificate, NOSA HIRA Certificate and NOSA Incident Investigation L3 Certificate.
Andre Mentoor
With extensive experience in facilitation, recruitment, project management, and corporate strategy, Andre serves as the Group Executive: People and Strategy at SSC Group.
His background includes leadership roles in skills development, training, and workforce empowerment, having collaborated with industry-leading organizations to drive talent acquisition and operational excellence.
Worgan-Lee Arendse
Worgan-Lee is a dynamic professional equipped with a BCom Degree specialising in Strategic Management, he is a seasoned business development expert with experience in mining and investment sectors.
With a strong foundation in both operational and strategic roles, Worgan-Lee has become a trusted leader in identifying growth opportunities, expanding market presence, and driving business profitability across the Group’s diverse mining operations.
His deep knowledge of the mining value chain, coupled with his expertise in investment strategies, has made him an invaluable asset to the Group. He drives operational excellence and business growth through strategic partnerships and stakeholder engagement.
Zeblon Nsibande Mofokeng
Zeblon has a Diploma in Industrial Relations and Labour Law, a National Diploma in HR Management as well as a Certificate of Competence. Zeblon also obtained a degree in B- Tech Labour Relations Management as well as The Certificate Programme in Labour Dispute Resolution Practice.
He is fluent in English, Sepedi, Afrikaans and Setswana and has key analytical abilities and management capacities which has earned him many years of experience in the mining industry and labour relations.

Sieg Burger has over 41 years of Mining experience.
He holds a Mine Overseer Certificate of Competency, a Shift Overseer Certificate and a Blasting Certificate.

Lethabo Morafwi
Lethabo is an experienced Human Resources Manager with over a decade of experience in HRM Application within the Mining Sector. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management from Vaal University of Technology.
Lethabo has been involved in coordinating projects in various mines, all these projects are characterised by the modern radical trade unionism and community activism.
Nkosinathi Magagula
Nkosinathi Magagula is an analytical, organized and detail-oriented accountant. He has over 13 years of experience in Financial Industry backed with a Bachelor’s degree in Internal Auditing.
He brings with an Audit Firm experience where he acquired Financial Accounting, Taxation, Payroll, Internal & External Auditing experience. Nkosinathi is a collaborative team player with good personal attributes and is good in coming up with strategic solutions to resolve challenges and propel business growth.
Livhuwani Mphephu
Livhuwani has vast experience in project and contracts management. Prior to her current assignment, she managed and successfully completed exploration, drilling, and capital projects (program) comprising of over 20 service providers.
This further comprised of both underground and surface drilling service providers. Livhuwani is proud to have completed all her programs safely and under budget. Her role involves interfacing and servicing various sections and departments which has helped her grow her cross-functional relationships.
As a qualified Geologist, she holds a Honours Degree in Mining and Environmental Geology, and an Advanced Project Management Certificate.
Kenneth Mudziri
Kenneth holds a BSc (Hons) Mining Geology (University of Pretoria), BSc Mining Geology (Wits), Cert. Management Development Program (USB).
With more than 17 years’ experience, his expertise spans exploration management, mining production, reserve optimization, geological forecasting, quality control, geological mapping, and modelling.
He is also skilled in business strategy, financial modelling, enterprise development, and community engagement. His extensive knowledge includes preparing pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, due diligence studies, and evaluations for business development.
Chad Paul Dorkin
With a background in Marketing, Business Analysis, Tech and Finance, Chad brings a unique perspective to the SSC Group’s future-forward orientation.
Chad serves as the Group’s Marketing Officer, in a cross-functional role that leverages his creativity and strategic vision to drive impactful and sustainable long-term growth.
Chad holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Management and his interests outside of Tech, Media and Marketing include Green Mining, Environmental and Social Governance, Corporate Social Responsibility, Renewable Energy, Business and Operational Development, Mining and Exploration Innovation and international geo-politics.
Carolina Mora
Carolina is an experienced Occupational Therapist with a passion for supporting the most vulnerable populations. With 10 years of experience working across three countries, Carolina has worked with underserved communities through therapy, inclusive education, and community-driven initiatives. Her work includes providing therapeutic intervention for children with multiple diagnoses, training families and educators in inclusive practices, and developing programs that equip youth with skills for a meaningful future.
Passionate about making opportunities accessible to underserved communities, Carolina is inspired by people's resilience in the face of adversity. Her dedication to the nonprofit sector began nine years ago as a volunteer supporting children living on the streets in Mexico. This experience gave Carolina a deep appreciation for how nonprofits improve lives—one program at a time.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, surfing, and trail running. Known for her energetic and creative nature, she brings innovative approaches to her work, always striving to create a meaningful and lasting impact in the world.
